Our Corporate Social Investment is done through Prolific Foundation.
Our CSI model is underpinned by social entrepreneurship. A social entrepreneur recognizes a social problem and uses entrepreneurial principles to organize, create and manage a venture to achieve social change (a social venture).
While a business entrepreneur typically measures performance in profit and return, a social entrepreneur focuses on creating social capital. Thus, the main aim of social entrepreneurship is to further social and environmental goals.
We aim to undertake community enterprenual projects such as:
- Mobilise, organise and train village subsistance farmers to produce orgarnic products and collectively bargain for a market for the farmers’ produce to be sold in local schools, chain super markets etc.
- Mobilise, organise and train street hawkers to better manage and grow their business to graduate from informal sector to a more formal mainstream business sector. We shall also collectively bargain on their behalf with banks, suppliers and bye law enforcement agencies.
We are currently sponsoring a student pursuing a Diploma in Architectural Draughting.
