Engineering is a multi desciplined profession. At Prolific we provide the following consultancy services within our Engineering division. These are:

Roads/Highways – An engineering discipline branching from civil engineering which involves the design, construction and maintenance of Highway Systems.

Stormwater drainage – Designed to drain excess rain and ground water from paved streets, parking lots, sidewalks, and roofs. Storm drains vary in design from small residential gutters to large municipal systems. They are fed by street gutters on most motorways, freeways and other busy roads, as well as towns in areas which experience heavy rainfall, flooding and coastal towns which experience regular storms.

Sewer/Waste water – The application of engineering methods to improve sanitation of human communities, primarily by providing the removal and disposal of human waste, and in addition to the supply of safe potable water.

Water Engineering- The study of the movement, distribution, and quality of water including the hydrologic cycle, water resources and environmental watershed sustainability.

Structural Engineering - Deals with the analysis and design of structures that support or resist loads commonly involved in the design of buildings and large nonbuilding structures.

Geotechnical Investigation Surveys
– A branch of civil engineering concerned with the engineering behavior of earth materials. Geotechnical engineering is important in civil engineering with construction on or in the ground. It uses principles of soil mechanics and rock mechanics to investigate subsurface conditions and materials; determine the relevant physical/mechanical and chemical properties of these materials; evaluate stability of natural slopes and man-made soil deposits; assess risks posed by site conditions; design earthworks and structure foundations and monitor site conditions, earthwork and foundation construction.

Enviromental Impact Assessment – An assessment of the possible positive or negative impact that a proposed project may have on the environment, together consisting of the natural, social and economic aspects.
